I run a single up front on the Mariposa and although I have yet to dropped the chain, I don't exactly like the thought of 'maybe'. A friend suggested mounting a dummy derailleur to keep the chain in place but the aesthetics of that idea disturb me. I was recently perusing the Bicycle Specialties website when I happened upon the picture of this Legnano. It seems that I'm not the only person concerned with dropping chains and someone somewhere actually made a rather attractive part to keep the chain where it should be, on the chainring. A quick internet search turned up a Paul Chain Keeper which, although functionally appropriate, is also aesthetically disturbing. Anyone know where I could get one like the one in the above picture?
